There is more than one way to tackle the ability to upload Mp3 files to your WordPress website, and it’s a great opportunity to learn how Audio recordings and sharing those audio recordings on your website are beneficial to your product or goal.
Plugins and OBS Studio
In order to actually get that podcast look on your website, you need to record your podcast and have some sort of way to upload it
- Seriously Simple Podcasting: Plugin allows for MP3 uploads and uses the block editor to insert podcasts into your website. You must install and activate it
- OBS Studio: Arguably the best recorder, as it allows MP4 output and great video and screen recording quality.
I would also consider converting your MP4 or your video that you take because I do not believe OBS has a way to output an MP3 file version of your video recording. That was my only hassle with this program and otherwise I have no issues I actually love this recorder. The recorder outputs the video with your voice and since you are not uploading a video, you need to convert it to MP3. You can find MP4 to MP3 converters online.
Benefits of Podcasts
Podcasts are a way for your website to stand out. They are beneficial in that they provide different ways for people to retain information or content on your website. Some people even prefer listening to audio rather than reading too, and it overall makes the website more welcoming in that sense. Podcasts also build strong connections as it feels almost like a one-on-one with your audience, and it helps to further build that connection as the podcast makes things more personal and engaging.
