The Importance of Making WordPress “Friendly”
Social media and interaction with our audience is important, no matter what platform it is or your intention for website businesses. In order to not only share information but connect with your customers and advertise your website, social media integration is essential even for the Guide to EV Impact and the topics of EVs, it’s important to introduce things that make visitors come back more often.
How Do You Do It?
One of the most common ways to execute a family-friendly and welcoming website is to add social media sharing buttons. This allows the subscribers and viewers to share content from your webpage.

- Needs to be updated regularly
- inactive accounts make this unprofessional
Which do I use?
Since I am familiar with both I use both of them since they are the most common and together they both are useful to me because they are the best at showcasing the physical appearance of my website and it allows me to direct attention to certain parts where my audience is looking to find. The Sharing buttons are the most visually appealing out of the two.
Metrics
The metrics don’t lie, and they are important to understand because the likes, the shares, the comments, and the traffic of your website determine just how many visitors actually view your content and how often they share your content with other people. Especially if you have those sharing buttons, the accessibility to share the information is instant, and it will show how many people positively view your posts. With my own data, it helps me understand what topics viewers are most interested in, and especially if the posts receive many shares or few shares; it tells me what my audience is interested in learning when it comes to topics.
How I would improve my metrics
Since metrics do not lie, its important to use my current metrics to then make decisions based on those metrics to positively impact my website.
Example:
If a post receives high engagement (Likes, comment, share) I would look at what specifically about the post wether it is visual or content wise that made it such high engagement in the first place. I would look at the feedback on what could be changed in the comments based on what my viewers say and adjust the next post or web page accordingly. If the post was about a comparison between a gas and electric vehicle, and it does well, I should do one about comparisons.
Vice Versa, if a post receives low engagement, I will look into what specifically causes the post to recieve low engagement wether it is content or visuals. Adjusting the post or web page based on what your viewers say is one of the best ways to approach this in order to regain traction in engagement.
